I am a first year teacher and graduated from Cedarville University in May of 2016 with a Physics and Chemistry education degree. Shortly after graduation, I got married and moved to Pennsylvania. Since I am originally from the great state of Oregon, I love all things outdoors and enjoy hiking, fishing, hunting, sports, and just exploring nature in general. Currently at William P. Kimmel Alternative School I teach 7th/8th grade integrated science, 10th grade chemistry, and 11th/12th grade integrated environmental/physical science.
Science is the process through which we know and understand our physical and observable world. Since the scientific process is an active process, I try to have my students engaged in scientific activities and thought as much as possible. Since science is the process of learning about the world, then why not learn science, through science?!
