Mrs. Darla Detwiler, Mathematics Teacher

The Mathematics Program at William P. Kimmel Alternative School is designed to keep all students on track with the sending schools. The pace of these courses is determined by student comprehension of the subject matter. An Applied Mathematics Program is used, but students can get Academic Courses when necessary.

Grade 7 typically works on a regular Mathematics course. Grade 8 has a Pre-Algebra Course. Applied Algebra I is taught to both 9th and 10th Grade with the 10th Grade getting some Applied Geometry. The 11/12th Grades learn an Applied Algebra II course for the first semester, and a Mathematics I course the second semester.
